ZeroMesh

FIELD SETUP

Meshtastic client for the Flipper Zero with offline maps.

ANODE
Serial

Works with stock firmware. Flash from the Meshtastic web flasher, then wire node TX to Flipper RX, node RX to Flipper TX, and a common GND.

Do not power the node from Flipper 5V while it is also on USB.
Bluetooth

The Flipper cannot start a connection, so the node has to connect to it. That needs a firmware build the official flasher does not offer.

Needs Chrome, Edge, Brave or Opera on a desktop. Firefox, Safari and phones cannot flash.
The installer offers to erase the device. Say no and your region, channels and keys are kept. Say yes and the node comes back factory fresh. The result is ordinary Meshtastic 2.7.26 with one module added.
BMAP

Pick a place and a radius.

Command

Run from the ZeroMesh repo with the Flipper plugged in.

Do it in steps instead

Then copy map.pmtiles to /ext/apps_data/zeromesh/map.pmtiles on the SD card.

CUSING IT
  • Up / Down step between nodes reporting a position.
  • OK cycles zoom. Hold OK to pan, Back to stop.
  • Down opens a toolbar: nearby places, labels, home, nodes, zoom.
  • A dashed border marks the edge of the map data.

No GPS fix? Set Node Config → Fixed pos to put your node on the map at the crosshair.

A card reader beats USB for anything over a few megabytes.
